STEM of Recreation Classes

Spring 2019

These before- and after-school, fun, and interactive lessons teach children in grades 2, 3, and 4 a better understanding of the athletic and recreation activities they love from the perspective of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

Each class covers the STEM behind a different sport/recreation activity. STEM of Recreation students learn the how, what, why, when, and where behind popular family/kid activities, making them more mentally and physically engaged in their play.  And STEM education is put into action, making the associated education concepts more intriguing and exciting.

This series of classes will cover STEM concepts connected to outdoor spring activities such as biking, tennis, lacrosse, baseball, golf, and skateboarding.

STEM of Recreation classes are all aligned with Idaho state standards.  Each class either ends at the start of the school day or begins at the end of the school day.
